I have worked with Bob Barker for many years and engaged him to photograph people and events for a variety of  marketing campaigns and PR activities. Professional, reliable, I trust Bob to help me get the photo that I need to meet the brief.

Bob Barker is an extremely well rounded photographer who can create wonderful results from most subjects. Having cut his teeth in the Newspaper industry Bob has been exposed to almost all conditions and subjects and comes up with consistent results all the time.

Bob Barker has a flare for photographing architecture. His passion for building and construction is evident in his inventiveness, discovering unusual angles and light sources to create stunning images that are both practical and beautiful. In all weather, day and night, Bob searches for the best image to tell the story of the build – from the original property on-site, the demolition, laying the slab, major construction milestones, landscaping and through to the final styling.

I have had the great pleasure of working with Bob Barker for many years and can highly recommend his work. I’m a journalist and Bob and I did many assignments together when we were both employed at News Ltd.

Later, as the Global Marketing and Communications Director for a non-profit organisation, SurfAid International, I contracted Bob to cover our field work in the remote islands off West Sumatra, Indonesia.

This was a one-month assignment where we encountered many logistical obstacles in remote villages in the tropics. However nothing fazed Bob and he produced an amazing body of work, which is still being used 13 years later to promote SurfAid’s mission and to raise funds.

Bob is a highly creative and technically proficient photographer, and all these skills come under the umbrella of his dedication, passion and drive to produce the best work possible. To me, Bob is the ultimate professional and I look forward to when we can work together again in the future. 

Peter and I used Bob Barker to shoot our wedding in the Clare Valley, South Australia. Bob went out of his way to make the day run smoothly, and the pictures were superb.

I wanted a photographer that was able to catch the natural excitement and joy of our wedding day in the Clare Valley. Bob Barker did just that.

My husband and I are both fun-loving, down-to-earth people, so we really didn’t want the usual set-up wedding photography. Bob went out of his way to make sure the day ran smoothly, and managed to capture the atmosphere and the feel of our wedding perfectly. We couldn’t have asked for a more dedicated photographer.

I was so proud to show my wedding album to work colleagues and friends. They were blown away with them and amazed by the vivid colour and composition Bob captured in each scene. Everyone I’ve shown has said the same thing, that my wedding photos, and the way they were displayed, were the best they’ve ever seen.

Bob was amazing and absolutely exceeded our expectations. We knew we didn’t want traditional wedding photographs but ones that captured the essence and emotions of the day as natural as could be and Bob succeeded in every aspect of this. The photographs were stunning and are true testament to his amazing talent.

Bob’s calm manner meant that nothing was too much and could make all requests work beyond what we wanted. All guests felt at ease with him and afterwards commented on how he captured the day just as it was. He was professional yet personal with all our dealings and we couldn’t have been happier. I would recommend Bob to anyone.

The photos are beautiful, they are a keepsake we will have forever.

Bob managed to capture special moments that other wedding photographers might miss because they are too busy taking run-of-the mill set-up shots. Because Bob was always on the lookout, we have some really lovely, and some very funny, photos to remember the day by.
